STEP BY STEP

THE CAREER, END TO END

01

The forge

Ten ability picks, two badge choices and a player name. Guard and Big templates each hold ten slots.

02

Showcase and draft night

A 1v1 showcase sets your report, then six teams offer a rookie deal.

03

Rookie season

Eighty-two games, one at a time. Each game is a fast text broadcast with a skip-to-final option and a simulate-the-season shortcut.

04

Decisions

Roughly every fourth game a career decision arrives: two options, immediate effects on condition, trust, fans, reputation or ratings.

05

Playoffs

Play-in for seeds seven to ten, then four best-of-seven rounds shown as a full conference bracket.

06

Offseason

Summer training programs, contract negotiation, free agency and transfers. Then the next season, or retirement.

SYSTEMS

WHAT DRIVES THE NUMBERS

Growth

Abilities grow from real box-score production, capped per season and at 95 overall. Investment buys the rest.

Condition and injury

Fatigue raises injury risk. Injuries cost games, and missed games never count toward your averages.

Fans and money

Performance and wins grow your audience. Salary becomes cash you spend on programs and mid-season investment.

Minutes and role

Trust and production move you from prospect to rotation, starter, All-Star and franchise player.

SAVING

HOW PROGRESS IS KEPT

The career saves to this browser automatically after every action. There is no account and nothing is uploaded. Settings can export a checksummed backup and My Locker stores individual players; a corrupted save falls back to the previous transaction snapshot.

QUESTIONS

BUILD A BUCKET QUESTIONS

How do I play Build a Bucket?

Press Create player, take ten ability picks, name the player, then start the career. The first season explains itself as you go.

Can I skip games?

Yes. Skip to final ends the current broadcast immediately, and Sim to end of season resolves every remaining regular-season game.

What happens if I lose in the playoffs?

The season ends with a report and you move to the offseason. Losing never ends the career.

Can I play more than one season?

Yes. A career can run up to twenty-five seasons before the age limit forces retirement.
